WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM THE USE OF IONM?

(IONM) Intraoperative Neurological Monitoring professionals collect, analyze and interpret data from your body's nervous system during surgery. Prior to the start of the surgical procedure, small stick on electrodes will be attached or (after you are asleep) inserted just under the skin to various parts of your body. Technologists will use these electrodes and computers to continuously monitor you and help identify the potential for injuriy to your central and peripheral nervous system.
